“ Review: I had an unforgettable dining experience at Torrisi in New York City, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible waiter, Fernando. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel so welcome and comfortable. His recommendations were spot-on—every dish he suggested was absolutely delicious, and his knowledge of the menu was impressive. What truly set Fernando apart was his personality. He was warm, attentive, and made our dinner not just seamless but genuinely fun. He had the perfect balance of professionalism and charm, making sure we had everything we needed while also adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. If you’re dining at Torrisi, I highly recommend asking for Fernando. He elevates the entire experience, and I can’t wait to come back for another fantastic meal. ”
“ Torrisi was such a great experience. The atmosphere was lively and the service was excellent. The prosciutto with warm dough puffs was seriously good — definitely a must-try starter. The pasta dishes were solid, but what really stood out were the desserts. The affogato was amazing — rich, layered, and not your typical affogato. Also, they served a cherry sorbet at the end, which was super refreshing and the perfect finish. Overall, everything was well-balanced and thoughtful. Would absolutely recommend, especially for the desserts and that prosciutto starter. ”
“ The pastas were up there with the best. We had the the beef ragu and clam linguine. Both perfect. The portions are small that’s my only complaint. The crispy skin on the duck was also excellent. It was juicy and fatty and perfect with the jus on the plate. The spritz also hit the spot. The almond cheesecake was also quite good but not a must order ”
“ Torrisi delivers on every level — beautiful ambiance, attentive service, and a menu that feels both refined and comforting. Honestly, I loved every single dish. The flavors are bold yet balanced, and everything feels thoughtful without being overworked. The space is warm, stylish, and perfect for a night out. The only downside is how tough it is to get a dinner reservation — but once you’re in, you’ll want to come back again and again. I definitely do. ”
“ Came here after a long day out, not dressed for fine dining, and still had a great time with all staff being welcoming. I came 20 minutes before opening and was able to be seated right away at the bar to eat. I honestly expected the prices to be much higher than they were for a fine dining restaurant in NYC with hard to get reservations, I was pleasantly surprised at the rates. I casually mentioned I had a good weekend because my birthday just passed and was surprised by a birthday topper on my dessert. I’ve been to several Michelin starred restaurants and the service at this establishment was the best I’ve ever experienced. ”
“ Walked in for a meal and unexpectedly only had a short wait; Monday walk-ins are possible! Sat at the bar and had excellent service and a great meal. The bartender (I think his name was Omar) made the experience exceptional but interestingly enough, the hostess suggested a “less popular” pasta dish that ended up being my favorite pasta option - the raviolini prawns and saffron. The other pasta plates are also nice. The duck alla mulberry was definitely a great main course. The restaurant was busy and the music was an ode to the original records often remixed or remade (definitely a plus). Drinks were good and the almond cheesecake was light and an excellent ending. ”
“ Their Michelin star is well deserved! Outstanding service. The food is well prepared and very tasty. Kudos to the sommelier on the extensive wine list. The cocktails are also very good. The grilled octopus was cooked to perfection. The tortellini pomodoro were light and fluffy. The driver sole was excellent. ”
“ Our fav restaurant in this trip to NY Must order: - Charred Clam Boule - Chicken Alla Griglia Good: - Linguini in a Pink Manhattan Clam Sauce - Tortellini Pomodoro: The cheese filling was a little too much for our taste, but the tomato sauce was amazing! Won’t revisit: (But it’s just my personal preference) - Cavatelli with Jamaican Beef Ragu: The taste of beef is too strong, i couldn’t take a second bite, but the texture of the pasta was absolutely fabulous. The complimentary bread was so good Never had a sourdough that soft and chewy, while the crust is full of flavourful sesame! Service was We would love to be back! ”
